Add detail subdivides the 64×64-cell blocks under the brush at the chosen level. With Natural detail on, it also adds fine terrain (rougher hills, ridges, a wiggly coast) without changing the area's overall shape; your locked cells stay exactly as they are. Re-roll detail gives the blocks under the brush a fresh roll (or removes it if Natural detail is off). Choose another level and Add detail again to change a block's resolution.
Towns
Pick the Towns tool: click the map to add a town, click a town to select it, drag to move it, Delete removes it.
Players & fog of war
Paint Reveal fog where the party has been (drag along their route). Beyond it the players see the unfinished sketch. The Move party tool places the party marker; each click moves it and extends the route (and reveals around it if Party reveals is on). Secret towns and GM notes never reach them.
Brush Size sets the reveal radius. The player map is a normal .vmap: players open it at ?player (or put it next to the app as player.vmap).
Weather
Winds carry moisture from the oceans; it rains out on high ground, so rain shadows and deserts follow the mountains. Rainfall drives biomes and rivers. Mountains controls how strongly ranges dry the air behind them.
Desert helper
Paint a Desert zone where you want a desert. The helper then works out what the weather needs and sets it up.
Swamp & bog helper
Paint a Wetland zone where you want a swamp (warm) or a bog (cool, peaty). The helper works out which it is, flattens the ground into a low plain, adds the wetness it needs and paints the land.
Rivers
Rivers are re-solved at full detail inside detail areas. Carve valleys lowers the terrain along rivers (undoable; locked areas are skipped).
